From Passion to Profit: Music as a Business

The Makers and Movers Training Series brings you engaging, student-led workshops designed to inspire and empower. Each session is hosted by a Maverick—a student leader passionate about sharing their knowledge in areas.

This session, led by Lydia Lee, focuses on strategies for musicians to turn their talent into a business. It covers building a musical portfolio and leveraging revenue streams from performances, gigs, and teaching. Drawing from experience as a music educator, director of a nonprofit music school, and over 16 years in music, the session will cover practical do’s and don’ts for using music as a business. Participants will gain valuable insights to advance their musical careers.
