The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $20 for each session they engage with!

The session will go deep into the heart of the customer discovery process and unearth 10 common mistakes that almost every founder makes. The session will then go on and propose an effective customer discovery framework including 10 effective tips on doing discovery right.

Speaker's Bio:
Shahriar Amin is a startup consultant who specializes in increasing the growth-readiness of early-stage startups and small businesses by crafting sustainable and scalable business models and increasing capacity of their founders through coaching; with one goal in mind - personal and business growth. That is why it's no surprise that currently he is working with VOLTA as a Growth Coach and with CEED as a Board Member specializing in brand building.
Before coming to Atlantic Canada, Shahriar worked extensively in Asia to help startups raise their game with business strategy and fund generation in sectors as diverse as social startups, health-tech and fashion-tech.
He wrote two books on Brand Management and Content Marketing, aimed at teaching young tech founders the value of sound marketing practices. He also worked in Fortune 500 companies such as Philip Morris in multiple countries as a Brand Marketing Specialist and taught Digital Marketing as part of MBA curriculum in multiple universities.
As a proud empath and father of an 8-year-old daughter, Shahriar's passion outside work lies in human psychology, moviemaking and writing personal growth content.
