What is the Ignition Program:

The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!

What’s in this session:

Students will come away from the session with a clearer understanding of the role of legal contracts in business relationships including the following:

  • How legal contracts are formed
  • How legal contracts create clear expectations and boundaries in a business relationship
  • The benefits of written contracts and when verbal contracts may be acceptable
  • An overview of the 10 Essential parts of a client or Customer Contract
  • Hiring Contracts
  • Four Essential Policies to put on a Business Website

Speaker's Bio:

Corinne Boudreau is the daughter of a teacher and a lawyer. This probably explains a lot about her desire to share and explain the legal stuff. Being a business lawyer since 2002 has given Corinne the perspective and experience to boil things down to the essentials.

Corinne is originally from Cape Breton Island and lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia with her spouse, two kids and rescue pup, Kiwi. Corinne’s hobbies include playing guitar with her band “The Mother Pluckers” and volunteering in her community.
