Speaker: Chelsea
After working in mental health and early intervention for the past decade, the move to reachAbility Association 3 years ago was a natural transition for Chelsea. Chelsea has always been passionate about representation and education within our most marginalized communities. The drive to equalize the playing field for those facing significant barriers and disabilities comes from a very personal place. Chelsea’s daughter was born with a congenital disorder that affects cognitive functioning. With no clear trajectory of what the future holds for her daughter, adaptations and accommodations were/are quite challenging. Cue reachAbility! Chelsea feels immense pride and hope for the future working for reachAbility. Knowing the team she works with pushes endlessly to ensure the success, independence and confidence of each client is rewarding and invaluable. When Chelsea isn’t working, she is spending quality time with her husband, 2 kids and French Bulldog, Alfie.
