Dr. Jonny White BSc‘06 

Dr. Jonny White founded Trees.app and runs it full time from California’s Central Coast. Jonny has two startup exits, has taught at three universities, has earned five degrees, and has worked jobs ranging from platform evangelist in California to managing director of an educational company in New York to motivational speaker all around the US, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Ecuador and Colombia. He’s a postdoctoral researcher at Saint Mary’s, a father of two, a kitesurfer, an ocean swimmer and a trail runner. His favorite thing now is hiring people smarter than him and starting them building cool things.

Description: Some people are born extroverts, great at working with others. Some aren’t. Some are born disagreeable, willing to go against the grain. Some aren’t. There are myriad personality assessments that are easy to talk about, but the most statistically proven assessment is NOT easy to talk about. We’ll all take it, then we’ll talk about it, as well as other life factors that may be good to consider when choosing your career path.
