Mitch Harrison BComm’17 is a partnerships leader and entrepreneur who has a passion for coaching, innovation and relationship building. Mitch currently manages strategic partnerships for RBC’s Cards and Payments division – helping national brands grow while connecting benefits to millions of Canadians. On the side, Mitch runs Foundations, an education company that trains sales & career literacy programming to youth groups seeking employment.
Mitch started at Saint Mary’s as a varsity basketball player where he played two seasons for the Huskies. Upon retiring from athletics, he became heavily involved in SMU’s entrepreneurship scene, having led the Enactus Saint Mary’s program and later co-founded Square Roots, a social enterprise that combats food insecurity in Nova Scotia.
Upon graduating, Mitch’s goal was to develop skills that would help him to pursue a career in entrepreneurship. For 6 years, Mitch has closed enterprise sales and led strategic partnerships for tech companies working in radiation oncology, grocery retail and fin-tech.
Throughout this early journey, Mitch has realized the critical role that human skills play in the workforce – through both his successes and failures. Mitch is a passionate coach that challenges his participants to push outside their comfort zone and create their own opportunities.
