What is the Ignition Program:

The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!

What’s in this session:

In a world built on speed, extraction, and burnout, The Nurture Method™ invites us to return to the technologies of empathy, presence, and breath. This immersive session guides participants through scientifically grounded breathwork, therapeutic sound frequencies, and Indigenous ceremonial technologies designed to restore coherence between the body, mind, and spirit. Participants will experience how emotional intelligence—when cultivated intentionally—becomes the foundation of both personal and organizational well-being. Through resonance and guided reflection, Angela demonstrates that empathy is not soft—it is structural. It is the unseen architecture that supports trust, innovation, and economic resilience in our communities. Attendees will leave with: - Tools to regulate the nervous system and increase emotional literacy. - Frameworks to apply emotional intelligence as a performance and equity strategy. - A renewed understanding of empathy as the most advanced human technology for collective flourishing.

Speaker's Bio:

Angela Poundmaker is the Founder and Chief Nurture Officer of Nurture Meditation: Meditation Science Rooted in Indigenous Wisdom™. An eighth-generation descendant of Chief Poundmaker and a Sixties Scoop Survivor, Angela is repatriating leadership, emotional intelligence, and collective healing through science-backed ceremony. Her work integrates somatic science, neuroscience, and Indigenous Knowledge to restore the nervous system as the foundation for ethical leadership and social innovation. A graduate in Professional Communications and Certified Meditation and Sound Practitioner, Angela teaches that empathy is technology—a renewable human resource essential to the future of sustainable economies. Through The Nurture Method™, she helps individuals, corporations, and communities transform stress into strategy and compassion into infrastructure. Angela’s sessions have been described as “a blueprint for emotional sovereignty,” merging breathwork, cutting-edge sound tools, and ceremonial technology into a lived experience of reconnection and resilience.
