What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!

This session introduces students to the strategic thinking behind business expansion and exit — and why these considerations matter far earlier than most people expect.
Drawing on real-world experience leading business transformations, acquisitions and exits, we will explore how growth, transition and exit decisions shape how organizations are built, led and sustained over time.
Speaker's Bio:
Nicole Myles Brook is an award-winning top-50 CEO, entrepreneur, and business transformation advisor with deep experience leading organizations through growth, transition, and exit. She is the Founder and CEO of Lighthouse Advisory Services Inc. (LASI), a boutique advisory firm that supports leaders, boards, and organizations navigating complex change, expansion, and high-stakes decision-making.
Nicole has led multiple large-scale business transformations, including multiple full-year long corporate restructuring sprints as CEO to a commercial sales and retail distribution organization during the post covid years. She has guiding two family-owned enterprise through both, an 18-month acquisition process that culminated in a successful sale in after a CCAA (Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act) proceeding, and a sale process for a Food and Beverage Business with a social enterprise organization to a national non-profit.
Her career spans executive leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, and advisory work across industries and across boarders with clients based in both Canada and the US, giving her a practical, real-world perspective on how businesses scale, adapt, and transition over time.
She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, has studied at Dalhousie University’s School of Architecture, and completed executive education at Harvard Business School Executive Education, and education in debt financing and secured lending at York University Osgood- PD.
Nicole is also a sought-after speaker and mentor, known for translating complex business realities into accessible insights for emerging leaders. She is an early stage start up investor as both an LP in WEL-Atlantic (Women’s Equity Lab) Fund 1 and Fund 2 as well as an investor in Sandpiper Ventures. Nicole has held an active role as a business development partner in Leading Ladies Networking, and member of Women’s President’s Organization (WPO).
