What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!
What’s in this session:
Making your passion profitable is rarely linear. In this session, textile artist Elise Campbell shares her experience building a creative career supported by multiple income streams, including teaching, exhibiting, residencies and sales.
Elise will talk candidly about how she approaches pricing, workload and time management as ongoing, evolving challenges - and what she wishes she had known earlier. Students who attend this session will learn about sustainable, real-world approaches to entrepreneurship rather than quick wins. Hearing from a maker who has built her career from the ground up offers practical insights for students exploring how passion, school and income can coexist.
