What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!
What’s in this session:
Most startup advice focuses on tactics and ignores the person running the business. This session combines scrappy, low-budget growth hacks for finding early customers with essential strategies for founder resilience and burnout prevention. You’ll walk away with actionable steps to build early traction and the energy management playbook needed to maintain momentum and grow sustainably.
Speaker's Bio:
Avery Cote is the Founder and CEO of Trek iQ, an accessibility intelligence platform that gives businesses tools to manage their real-time accessibility information. Based in Nova Scotia, Avery built Trek iQ on the conviction that missing accessibility information effectively locks doors, and that better data management can open them. The company has earned recognition on the regional startup circuit, including being named among the Top 15 Canada Student Entrepreneurs, and Avery was named the 2026 Enactus Student Leader of the Year. Avery is passionate about building products that solve real-world problems and supporting fellow founders turn ideas into traction.
