What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!
What’s in this session:
This session is about the importance of building and maintaining meaningful relationships throughout the entrepreneurial journey. It will explore how staying connected with mentors, peers, organizations, past opportunities, and community networks can help students access support, open new doors, and continue growing personally and professionally. I will also share personal stories from my own journey as a serial social entrepreneur to show how relationships can play a meaningful role in building ventures and creating impact.
What students will get from the session:
Students will leave with practical strategies for following up professionally, building authentic relationships, nurturing their network, and staying connected in ways that feel natural and intentional. They will also gain insight into how relationships can lead to mentorship, collaboration, funding opportunities, partnerships, and long-term support.

This session will help students understand how to use their network with confidence and how staying connected can create meaningful opportunities throughout their founder journey.
Speaker's Bio:
Alex Dulay is a serial social entrepreneur and community leader with a deep passion for using business as a force for social good. An entrepreneur since the age of eight, she has built and supported ventures focused on addressing social challenges and creating sustainable impact in underserved communities.
Alex currently serves as the Program Manager for Atlantic Canada at Enactus Canada and is the Founder and CEO of NutriLolli, an integrated child health solution designed to help detect early signs of micronutrient deficiencies in children through a child-friendly lollipop-based approach. She also founded an education foundation in the Philippines that has helped build a school in an underserved community and expand access to education for children.
With a strong background in fundraising and relationship-building, Alex has leveraged her network and partnerships to help raise more than $2.5 million across the ventures and initiatives she has been involved with.
Her work has been recognized through several honours and entrepreneurial achievements, including winning the $50,000 Spark Pitch Competition, receiving the Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies, being named one of the Top 10 Enactus Women Leaders of the Year, placing Top 4 nationally at The Arena, and being selected for the Hult Prize.
At the heart of Alex’s work is a lifelong commitment to social entrepreneurship and a belief that business can be a powerful tool for creating meaningful and lasting change.
