What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!
What’s in this session:
Many assume Networking is an activity for those outgoing, gregarious people we know – but not for anyone whose batteries are drained by social interactions. That assumption is incorrect! Don’t underestimate that introverts can not only network, but that they can be better at it than their extrovert peers! Through activities, tips, and tricks, this session will help you understand how to network, even if the very idea makes you nervous.
Speaker's Bio:
With a background in Community Development and International Higher Education, Alida Campbell has a decade of experience helping communities and individuals develop their resiliency. As the Halifax Connector Program Manager, she supports newcomers and students in Halifax connect with individuals who can help them better understand and engage with opportunities. Her focus is always on helping people access resources and support so they can thrive wherever they choose to call home. A proud Rotarian and Youth Exchange Alumni, Alida knows the power of a network, and how beneficial it can be throughout one’s life.
