What is the Ignition Program:

The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!

What’s in this session:

In this session, we’ll focus on two things every student needs but rarely gets to practice:

  • How to manage the fear of public speaking
  • How to speak clearly when put on the spot

We’ll break down *why* speaking feels so intimidating — especially in interviews or group settings — and go over simple ways to stay calm and grounded. Then, we’ll shift gears and practice impromptu speaking using easy, no-pressure frameworks that help you organize your thoughts quickly and sound more confident.

You’ll walk away with tools to manage nerves and speak up — whether it’s for a class presentation, a job interview, or just introducing yourself in a room full of people.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and try it out for yourself in a fun, supportive space.
