What is the Ignition Program:
The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $10 for each session they engage with!
What’s in this session:
You have an idea for a new business. Family and friends tell you that they think it is great! Of course everyone needs what you want to sell! You will make a ton of money. But is it really a great idea? Will anyone actually pay for your product or service? And how do you make it a reality?
The Business Model Canvas is a simple, yet comprehensive, tool to help you develop your business model as you answer key questions about your business. It guides you to investigate key external questions such as what your value proposition is, and who your ideal client is. It helps you figure out key internal needs such as required resources and activities. And it importantly makes sure you understand both your revenue streams and costs. It is helpful before you start your business, and at all stages of business development to keep everything on track.
In this workshop, we will explore the Business Model Canvas and give you tips on how to leverage it to help you launch and expand your business.
