The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections; and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $20 for each session they engage with!

Speaker's Bio:
Niki Kearl is a business development consultant specializing in venture scouting and funding in Western Canada. Working on the funding side of tech startups, Niki helps companies access grant funding faster through Bonsai Growth. As a previous Principal at Pioneera Ventures, she looked for companies ready for investment and acquisition in manufacturing. Over the last 2 years, Niki has talked to hundreds of tech companies, reviewing and evaluating business pitches for investment opportunities. With roots in both BC and AB, she excels in building relationships within the startup and business ecosystem.
Drawing from over 20 years of healthcare experience, Niki has led digital transformations in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical practice management. Her educational background includes studies in science at the University of Alberta, medical technology at NAIT, and a technology management degree. Niki is an award-winning competitor pitching innovation, business and marketing concepts.
As a generalist in analytics, ideation, and lean methods, Niki blends strategic insight with hands-on experience. Her diverse expertise positions her as a versatile leader poised to drive innovation and growth in traditional and emerging industries.
