Amna Chalwati

About

Amna Chalwati is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting at Saint Mary’s University. She currently teaches Introduction to Financial Accounting, International Accounting, and Exploring Sustainability in the undergraduate curriculum, and a Ph.D. Directed Study on Voluntary Disclosure and CSR at the graduate level. Amna studies greenwashing and social washing, focusing on financial market forces and institutions, as well as CEO traits. Her research has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Banking and Finance (JBF), China Accounting and Finance Review (CAFR), and The Journal of Theoretical Accounting Research (JTAR)

Amna holds a PhD from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an M.Sc. in Accounting from Manouba University, Tunisia. Before her PhD, Amna worked as an auditor at CAO Tunisia.

Availability: Amna will be available any time on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons and Mondays and Wednesdays.
