The TD Entrepreneurship Inclusion Initiative, launched in January 2023, amplifies our support of diverse student entrepreneurs, advancing the entrepreneurial mindset, innovating business models, and testing new solutions to market needs.
This initiative supports hundreds of diverse students through three key programs: Ignition, an entrepreneurship toolbox program, the Summer Entrepreneurial Experience (SEE), a summer accelerator, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) events and partnerships, that promote collaboration within and beyond our diverse entrepreneurial network.
This Initiative leverages the expertise and passion of the Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre, along with its significant base of ecosystem partners, to create a holistic support environment for diverse entrepreneurs.
Ignition offers post-secondary students a 10-week training series that gives access to mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections and honorariums to support personal and business development.
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) Events and Partnerships foster an inclusive environment that embraces diversity in all forms. Our events and partnerships are designed to educate, empower, and engage students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring everyone has equal access to entrepreneurial opportunities.
Summer Entrepreneurial Experience (SEE) supports a cohort of international student entrepreneurs in Nova Scotia through networking, skill development and resource sharing, to explore pathways to immigration through entrepreneurship, furthering their success and the province’s growing economy.
