Darren MacDonald has two decades of experience consulting to business, from startups to Fortune 500 corporations, on designing environments, processes and products from the perspective of the user. For the past number of years, he has been involved in coaching, mentoring and training startup founders and students in entrepreneurship methods. Specifically, in the areas of problem discovery, ideation, lean startup methods and analytics. He holds a BSc from Dalhousie University, a MSc from the University of Derby and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specializing in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. When he is not thinking about design or business opportunities you can find him on the slopes teaching skiing as a CSIA Level 3 instructor and serving on the national board for the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance representing Atlantic Canada.
