Event Details

FoundatioNS is an education company that trains sales/career literacy programming to participant groups seeking employment opportunities.

Foundations is an experiential learning program designed to help students develop networking and relationship-building skills that can act as a foundation for their desired career path. Through team meet-ups, 1:1 coaching and paid challenges, participants will be pushed to cultivate meaningful relationships, build their networks, and unlock professional opportunities.

Since 2018, Foundations has facilitated trainings in partnership with post-secondary institutions, national non-profits and employment agencies. Foundations was founded by Saint Mary’s University alumni Mitch Harrison. Mitch started at Saint Mary’s as a varsity basketball player where he played two seasons for the Huskies. Upon retiring from athletics, he became heavily involved in SMU’s entrepreneurship scene, having led the Enactus Saint Mary’s program and later co-founded Square Roots, a social enterprise focused on combating food insecurity in Nova Scotia. Upon graduating, his goal was to develop skills that would help him to pursue a career in entrepreneurship. For 6 years, Mitch has closed enterprise sales and led strategic partnerships for companies working in radiation oncology, grocery retail and fin-tech. Throughout this early journey, Mitch has realized the critical role that human skills play in the workforce – through both his successes and failures. Mitch is a passionate coach that challenges his participants to push outside their comfort zone and create their own opportunities.
