The Ignition Program offers post-secondary students a 10-week program that gives access to training, mentorship, resources, ecosystem connections and honorariums to support personal and business development. Students will be awarded $20 for each session they engage with!

This topic covers the basics of starting and running a business, including ideation, market research, business models, and legal considerations. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of what it takes to launch a successful venture.
Speaker bio: Meet Meredith Drost BComm’19, Chief of Operations at Athena’s Playground and a seasoned marketing professional with a passion for entrepreneurship. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University and ongoing studies in the MTEI program, Meredith brings a wealth of expertise to the table. As a Senior Project Manager of Business Design at the Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre, Meredith focuses on creating innovative solutions for businesses and fostering connections with students. Her commitment to personal development is reflected in Athena’s Playground, a learning platform she founded to provide global opportunities for continued learning and celebrate uniqueness. Skilled in management, public speaking, and team leadership, Meredith is dedicated to empowering others and driving lasting business success.
